CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Please handle with care. Rebecca's work is designed to be a decorative wall hanging only, not to be used as rugs or regularly handled. Avoid moisture except to gently steam the fringe if necessary shortly after installation. Use clean hands to comb through fringe or straighten strings at the top, careful to avoid snagging fibers. No maintenance cleaning is necessary besides gently dusting with a feather dusty as needed.

NOTES

While color representation is made as accurate as possible, please note that hues may vary from monitor to monitor. If you are commissioning a custom piece, samples of the materials can be sent free of charge for you to handle and compare in person.

Between right and wrong, black and white, and every extreme or absolute, there is a messiness, a groundlessness, an inability to grasp anything solid. We crave certainty, labels, even restrictive boxes as long as it helps us define our experience and brings a feeling of security in our reality. And so we lean to one side or another, casting judgments of “this is good” or “this is bad” to give us a sense of control.

However, behind all the words and labels is the true essence of life. Hiding under all the judgements and perceived certainties is the quiet and all-consuming mystery of the unknown, impossible to grasp, pin down, define, or control. It is in this space that we evolve, for if we insist on holding on tightly to one way or another simply because it’s familiar and known, how would we ever experience anything different? We would be choosing to live our past again and again.

Become familiar with uncertainty, friends with the unknown, and trust in the unfolding of your life and you’ll find a deeper peace that can ever be found in seeking to know or control.
