Hi, I'm Rebecca!

I combine raw materials such as wool and cotton into sculptural wall hangings, woven together by hand. Located in the beautiful state of Utah, I am constantly finding inspiration in the landscapes around me, as well as in the details and textures of the earth, trees, water, and sky that surround us all.

My work has so much more to do with creating something aesthetic for people’s homes: it’s about evoking emotions that connect us to ourselves, to each other, and to the universe/God–that deeper something that holds the essence and meaning of existence. My work is meant to connect and expand people in a way that brings meaning, purpose, and joy to the viewer.

My Intentions

My intention as an artist is to create both a visual, tactile, and emotional experience for the viewer by intricately weaving meaning and memory into texture and color, using familiar and raw materials such as cotton and wool.
My work is deeply influenced by a desire to inspire others to be fiercely authentic, vulnerable, and most of all, human. I want to give others permission to accept, love, and celebrate who they are.

    The Pain of Breaking Free

This work helped me express an emotion that was difficult to put to words, something about both the joy and pain that comes with personal evolution.
